The experience

A station guests watch, customize and remember

Aventura events tend to happen in tight, beautiful rooms: condominium social rooms, rooftop terraces, club dining rooms and private residences. A crepe station suits that kind of space because it creates a moment without needing a stage. Each guest picks a direction and the chef prepares it fresh on-site, so it works as a dessert feature or as part of the meal. This page covers the Aventura-specific side of the setup; the full service overview lives on the South Florida crepe station page.

Aventura planning

Where live cooking is allowed, and who has to approve it

A crepe station is cooking equipment, not a dessert table. In Aventura that single fact decides more than the menu does, because City parks and private buildings answer the question very differently.

Service area focus: Aventura, Florida. This map identifies the city only and does not represent a VNV Events office, address or place of business.

City of Aventura parks

  • Shelters, courts and other reservable amenities are booked through the City's Online Registration System, and a registered household account is required before any reservation can be completed.
  • The City lists open fires among the activities that are not permitted in its parks, alongside alcoholic beverages and glass containers. Because a crepe station is live cooking equipment, ask the City directly whether your setup qualifies rather than assuming a shelter reservation covers it.
  • Non-resident admission is charged at City parks. Confirm current rates and resident-only restrictions before you build a guest list that is not all Aventura residents.
  • City parks use a lightning warning system, and activities stop when it activates. Build that into your service window, not just your rain plan.
  • Start with the City of Aventura parks and facilities page, the Online Registration System and Chapter 33 of the City Code.

Condominiums, clubs and private venues

  • Most Aventura events happen inside a building that has its own rules. The association or club, not the City, is usually the approving party for an outside caterer.
  • Ask the building what it allows for cooking equipment in a social room, on a terrace or on a balcony, and get the answer in writing before the date is locked.
  • Confirm the vendor packet the building requires: certificate of insurance, named additional insureds, vendor registration and any deposit.
  • Reserve the freight or service elevator and the loading dock window. In a tower, the elevator schedule, not the driving time, is what determines when a station can be ready.
  • Ask about valet, guest parking validation and how security wants the vendor list submitted.

VNV Events does not apply for, obtain or guarantee permits, park reservations or building approvals. Permitting and approvals are the responsibility of the host, the venue or your planner. We will give you the setup details you need to answer the City's or the building's questions accurately.

Site logistics

What a live station needs from your Aventura venue

A short walkthrough, or a five-minute call with the building manager, answers almost all of this before anyone signs anything.

Eight things to confirm

  • Covered cooking area. Interior social room, covered terrace or a tent. Uncovered placement is the most common reason a station has to move on the day.
  • Building approval for cooking equipment. Ask specifically about live cooking, not just catering. Some buildings treat the two as separate questions.
  • Power and access. Identify the nearest usable power source and how far it sits from the station. We confirm the actual requirement with your venue instead of assuming what a circuit can carry.
  • Service elevator and dock. Reserve the window, and check door widths, ceiling height and the route from the dock to the room.
  • Vendor documentation. Certificate of insurance, additional insured wording and vendor registration are frequently requested by Aventura buildings and clubs. Ask early; these take longer than people expect.
  • Guest flow. Place the queue so it does not cut across the bar, the dance floor or a main walkway. Condo social rooms are less forgiving than a ballroom here.
  • Service window. The two hours of live preparation can run as a late dessert moment or as part of the meal. Pick one before the timeline is built.
  • Weather and heat contingency. Coastal wind on an open terrace and afternoon rain both matter. Decide the indoor or covered fallback position in advance.

Questions

Before you reserve in Aventura

How much does a VNV crepe station cost in Aventura?

The current published base price is $19 per guest with a 25-guest minimum. Delivery, taxes, upgrades, availability, venue requirements and final menu selections are confirmed in your written proposal.

Can the crepe station be set up at Aventura Founders Park?

Not without checking with the City first. Park shelters and other reservable amenities are booked through the City of Aventura Online Registration System, which requires a registered household account, and the City lists open fires among the activities that are not permitted in its parks. Because a crepe station is live cooking equipment, confirm directly with the City's Community Services Department whether your specific setup is allowed before you commit to a date. VNV Events does not apply for or guarantee permits, reservations or approvals.

What does the station need from an Aventura condominium or club venue?

A covered cooking area, a safe power source close to the station, a clear load-in path, and whatever the building requires from an outside caterer, which often includes a service elevator or loading dock window and vendor documentation. Exact power and placement requirements are confirmed with your venue before the proposal is finalized rather than assumed.

Are the crepes really made at the event?

Yes. The package includes two hours of live-chef preparation on-site, with sweet and savory crepes made in front of guests and served from a styled buffet.

Who is responsible for permits and building approvals in Aventura?

The host, the venue or your planner. VNV Events does not apply for, obtain or guarantee permits, park reservations or building approvals. We provide the setup details you need to answer the City's or the building's questions accurately.
