The experience

A station guests watch, customize and remember

A crepe station turns dessert into something that happens in the room instead of arriving on a tray. Each guest picks a direction and the chef cooks it on the spot, which is why the same setup can close out a clubhouse reception or carry part of the meal at a backyard celebration. This page covers the Coconut Creek side of that setup; the full service overview lives on the South Florida crepe station page.

Coconut Creek planning

Pavilions, clubhouses and the questions to settle first

Coconut Creek sits in northern Broward County between Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton, and most local events land in one of two places: City park property or a privately managed clubhouse. A live cooking station is treated differently in each, so this is usually what decides your date.

Service area focus: Coconut Creek, Florida. This map identifies the city only and does not represent a VNV Events office.

City park pavilions, including Sabal Pines

  • Pavilion use on City of Coconut Creek property runs through Parks & Recreation, and permits must be obtained at least three days in advance.
  • All pavilions are reserved at the Sabal Pines location, reservations are walk-in only, and a government-issued photo ID is required. Residents receive a discounted rate with proof of residency.
  • Availability is confirmed by phone with Parks & Recreation before anything else is scheduled around it.
  • Reserving a pavilion and getting approval for an outside cooking vendor, a tent or a generator are not the same step. Ask the City what your specific setup requires before you invite anyone.
  • Current rules and rates are on the City of Coconut Creek pavilion permit page.

Clubhouses, HOA venues and private property

  • Clubhouse and community rooms in neighborhoods such as Winston Park, Cocobay, Wynmoor and The Crossings each set their own rules for outside vendors.
  • Ask early whether onsite cooking is allowed in the room you reserved, and what vendor documentation the association requires.
  • The Promenade at Coconut Creek, the open-air shopping and dining center on Lyons Road, hosts events on privately managed property, so site rules and approvals come from property management.
  • City ordinances still apply on private property. The full Code of Ordinances is on Municode, and general City contacts are on the City of Coconut Creek website.

VNV Events does not apply for, obtain or guarantee permits or venue approvals. Permitting and approvals are the responsibility of the host, the venue or your planner. We will give you the setup details you need to answer the City's or the venue's questions accurately.

Site logistics

What a live station needs from your Coconut Creek venue

A crepe station is hot cooking equipment placed where guests can watch it, so a short walkthrough answers most of this before anyone signs anything.

Seven things to confirm

  • Covered cooking area. Clubhouse interior, covered terrace, a reserved pavilion or a tent. Uncovered placement is the most common reason a station has to move on the day.
  • Power and access. Identify the nearest usable power source and how far it sits from the station. We confirm the actual requirement with your venue instead of assuming what a circuit or a park outlet can carry.
  • Load-in path. In gated Coconut Creek communities this usually starts at the guardhouse: vendor list, gate access window, parking distance, elevators, stairs and door widths between the vehicle and the station.
  • Guest flow. Place the queue so it does not cut across the bar, the dance floor or a main walkway. A live station pulls a line, which is part of the appeal and part of the floor plan.
  • Service window. The two hours of live preparation can run as a late dessert moment or as part of the meal. Pick one before the timeline is built.
  • Venue approval. Ask your HOA, clubhouse manager or property management what an outside caterer needs to supply and whether onsite cooking is permitted in that space.
  • Weather contingency. South Florida heat and afternoon rain both matter, especially at a park pavilion. Decide the indoor or covered fallback position in advance.

Questions

Before you reserve in Coconut Creek

How much does a VNV crepe station cost in Coconut Creek?

The current published base price is $19 per guest with a 25-guest minimum. Delivery, taxes, upgrades, availability, venue requirements and final menu selections are confirmed in your written proposal.

Can we set up the crepe station at a Coconut Creek park pavilion?

Pavilion use on City of Coconut Creek property runs through Parks & Recreation. Permits must be obtained at least three days in advance, all pavilions are reserved at the Sabal Pines location, reservations are walk-in only and a government-issued photo ID is required. A pavilion reservation is not the same thing as approval for an outside cooking vendor, a tent or a generator, so confirm your specific setup with the City before you commit to a date. VNV Events does not apply for or guarantee permits.

Does the crepe station work inside a Coconut Creek clubhouse?

Clubhouse and community rooms in Coconut Creek neighborhoods such as Winston Park, Cocobay, Wynmoor and The Crossings each set their own rules for outside vendors. Ask your HOA or property manager what vendor approval and documentation they require, what the load-in window is, and whether onsite cooking is allowed in the room you reserved.

Are the crepes really made at the event?

Yes. The package includes two hours of live-chef preparation on-site, with sweet and savory crepes made in front of guests and served from a styled buffet.

What does the station need from our Coconut Creek venue?

A covered cooking area, a safe power source close to the station and a clear load-in path from parking, including gate or guardhouse access where that applies. Exact power and placement requirements are confirmed with your venue before the proposal is finalized rather than assumed.
