It depends on where the event happens. Groups of 15 or more using a City of Dania Beach park or beach area need a Special Event Permit, and the City asks for applications at least 30 days before the event date. The application is requested and returned by email and must be submitted with a site plan showing tents and structures. Building permits connected to an event are applied and paid for at least 30 days in advance through the Building Division. Private homes and clubhouse events are usually outside the City process, but the venue or HOA may still have its own outside-caterer rules. Confirm your specific event directly with the City and with your venue. VNV Events does not apply for or guarantee permits.
Beach and pier-area gatherings sit on City property, so a group of 15 or more needs a Special Event Permit filed at least 30 days ahead, with a site plan. The City's special event requirements also state that no ground spike penetration is allowed and that structures must be water-weighted, and that tents larger than 10 by 10 require permits. Those two points decide how a covered cooking area gets anchored, so settle them before you fix a date.
Frost Park Community Center is rented in four-hour blocks on weekends and hourly on weekdays, with a deposit at contract and the remaining balance due 60 days before the rental. Confirm with Parks and Recreation whether the specific room allows an outside caterer and onsite cooking, and where the station may be placed, before you build a timeline around it.
