The City of Hallandale Beach requires a Temporary Use permit for outdoor special events that include components such as on-site commercial cooking, food sales, alcohol or large-scale temporary structures, and for indoor or promotional events that change the city-approved use of a facility. Complete applications must be submitted not less than 45 days before the event, or 60 days if City Commission approval is required. Temporary structures require a separate permit unless expressly exempt, and permits from other agencies may apply when food is cooked on site. Confirm your specific event directly with the City. VNV Events does not apply for or guarantee permits.
Events on City property are handled through the Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department, which processes Temporary Use of City Property special event permit applications alongside a separate Special Event Reservation Request for the property itself. Events on City property must also provide proof of insurance naming the City as an additional insured. Because the reservation and the permit review run on separate timelines, confirm both before you commit to a date or send invitations.
