Approvals come from the County when you are on county property, and from your clubhouse, HOA, club or venue when you are not. Sorting out which one applies usually decides your date before the menu does.

On private property, your clubhouse, HOA, country club or venue sets the rules for outside caterers and onsite cooking. Confirm your specific event with the County or the venue. VNV Events does not apply for or guarantee permits or vendor approvals.
Ask the park first. Miami-Dade County requires a Parks Special Events Permit for special events held at county-owned and operated park and recreation facilities, and the County states that only registered party vendors are allowed for parties at its picnic shelters, pavilions and cabanas. The County also notes that tents 10 feet by 12 feet or larger require a Short Term Event permit and that specific permit requirements should be confirmed with the venue. Settle those points before you commit to a date or a guest count.
