It depends on the property, the guest count and the setup. The Village of Palmetto Bay requires a Special Event Permit Application for events on private residential property where more than 45 guests are expected. All special event permit applications carry a $75 non-refundable processing fee, which must be paid 30 calendar days before the event start date. Food preparation and alcoholic beverages require additional documentation attached to the application, and depending on size and other factors, tents and stages may require a building permit in addition to the special event permit. Confirm your specific event with the Village's Planning and Zoning Department. VNV Events does not apply for or guarantee permits.
Coral Reef Park offers four separate picnic areas and an air-conditioned recreation room next to the playground, and all areas can be rented for private parties, meetings or special events. Palmetto Bay Park offers an air-conditioned recreation room next to its playground plus covered shelters, with the recreation room accommodating up to 50 people. The Village asks renters to read the rental rules and regulations before reserving, and each venue has different requirements, so confirm onsite cooking, power and vendor access with Parks and Recreation before you commit to a date.
