Section 132.27 of the City of Pompano Beach Code of Ordinances requires a permit issued by the City Manager before a special event is held on private property in the city, and defines a special event as a temporary gathering not exceeding 96 hours that meets the criteria in the section. Whether your specific event qualifies is a question for the City. VNV Events does not apply for, obtain or guarantee permits.

Pompano Beach requires public event applications for festivals, gatherings and activities that use the beach, the pier or any City park, and states that applications received fewer than 25 days before the event date will be denied. Park facility rental terms also require that any sale of food or beverage be approved and noted on the application, and the City reserves the right to require a public event application at the renter's cost.
