Before you reserve
What is included in the pasta station for a Coral Gables event?
The published station includes a choice of three pasta varieties, three sauces and two proteins, plus fresh ingredients and finishing toppings, buffet setup and decoration, and two hours of live-chef service. Final selections, dietary accommodations, delivery, taxes, upgrades, availability, venue requirements and the total are confirmed in your written proposal.
How much does a pasta station cost in Coral Gables, FL?
The current published starting price is $19 per guest with a 25-guest minimum. Delivery, taxes, upgrades, availability and the final total are confirmed in the written proposal, and the current published price is shown on the product page.
Do I need a permit for a live cooking station in Coral Gables?
It depends on where the event is held. The City of Coral Gables runs special event and film permitting through its Community Recreation Department, and a special event permit applies to events on city property and in city facilities. City guidance directs organizers to submit to the Recreation Division at least 30 days before the event date, and the City notes that a special event permit application may be one of several applications and approvals an organizer needs. The application asks for specifics such as electrical requirements, which a live cooking station has to answer accurately. VNV Events does not apply for, obtain or guarantee permits or venue approvals; confirm current requirements directly with the City of Coral Gables.
Can the pasta station be set up at a Coral Gables park pavilion?
A permit is required for exclusive use of a pavilion, field or facility, permits are issued first come, first served, and reservations cannot be completed over the phone. The City park rental page states that permits should be submitted at least seven days before the event and that a security deposit applies. A pavilion rental covers the pavilion area only for the hours booked and does not close the surrounding park or playground to the public. Because a rental permit and a special event permit are separate, ask the City directly whether adding a live cooking station to your reservation triggers additional review.
What does the pasta station need on site?
Plan for a covered cooking and service area, a safe venue-approved power source at the station position, a clear load-in path, room for the guest queue, an agreed service window for the included two hours of live-chef service, written venue approval for onsite cooking, and a weather fallback position. Exact venue requirements are confirmed in the written proposal.
Can vegetarian, vegan or allergy needs be accommodated?
Raise dietary directions while selections are being made. Vegetarian, vegan and allergy-related accommodations are reviewed case by case and confirmed in the written proposal along with the final pasta, sauce and protein choices.
