The station

One station, plate-by-plate combinations

Davie events tend to spread across a property rather than sit inside a single banquet room, so where the station lands often matters more than the menu does. Because every plate is assembled to order, one station covers children, guests who want something lighter and guests eating vegetarian without a separate menu. The full service overview lives on the South Florida pasta station page.

Where it fits in Davie

  • Backyard weddings, showers and milestone birthdays on larger residential lots
  • Ranch, barn and open-air property celebrations
  • Park pavilion gatherings, reunions and team parties
  • Corporate socials, association meetings and campus-area events
  • Community clubhouse and HOA room celebrations

Suitability depends on the venue, the power available at the station position and the approved setup area, all of which are reviewed before the proposal is finalized. If you are coordinating for a client or a committee, the planner resources page covers how we work alongside outside planners.

Build the menu

Three choices shape the whole station

Selections are made conditionally against what is available for your date and confirmed in writing before the event.

Pasta selection

Choose three pasta varieties. Familiar shapes or filled pasta can be considered depending on the menu direction and what is available when you book.

Sauce selection

Choose three sauces. Balancing them so the station reads differently from one end to the other, typically one lighter and one creamier direction, keeps the line interesting if those options are available for your date.

Proteins and dietary needs

Two protein selections are included. Vegetarian, vegan and allergy-related requirements should be raised during selection so they can be reviewed and confirmed in the proposal.

Davie planning

Pavilions, permits and the questions to settle first

In Davie the venue decision and the paperwork decision usually arrive together. A pavilion reservation and a permit question run through different processes on different timelines, and either one can move your date before the menu is ever discussed. A pasta station is a live cooking station, so settle both before the layout is locked.

Town park pavilions and shelters

  • Town of Davie park pavilions and shelters can be reserved for private gatherings.
  • Reservations are handled on a first come, first served basis.
  • The Town does not guarantee your date until payment is received, so treat a verbal hold as unconfirmed.
  • Ask the Town what your reserved pavilion allows in terms of outside caterers, cooking equipment, tables and power before you build a timeline around it.
  • Confirm whether the pavilion itself provides usable cover for a live cooking station, or whether a separate covered area is needed.

Special event permits

  • The Town of Davie maintains a Special Event Permit process.
  • Whether it applies to your event depends on the property, the scope and the setup. Not every private gathering falls under it.
  • Rather than assume either way, confirm your specific event, guest count and cooking setup directly with the Town.
  • If a permit does apply, start that conversation before invitations go out, because approval timelines are outside your control and outside ours.
  • Ask specifically about onsite cooking, generators, tents or temporary cover, and vendor equipment, since those are the details that usually decide the answer.

VNV Events does not apply for, obtain or guarantee permits, approvals or pavilion reservations. Permitting and approvals are the responsibility of the host, the venue or your planner. What we will do is give you the setup details you need to answer the Town's or the venue's questions accurately.

If a tent or temporary cover is part of the plan, raise it early with the Town or the venue rather than at the end. See tent and event rental options.

Site logistics

What a live pasta station needs on site

On open Davie properties these details decide whether the station runs smoothly or gets moved on the day. Review them with your venue early, then confirm them in the written proposal.

Covered cooking and service area

Live cooking needs solid cover: a roof, a lanai, a covered terrace, a pavilion that permits it, or a tent approved for the location. On acreage and open lawns, an uncovered position is the most common reason a station has to be repositioned once crews arrive.

Venue-approved power

Confirm with the venue or the Town what power exists at the intended station position and whether it may be used for catering equipment. The station's actual power requirements are stated in your proposal rather than assumed on site, and generators may trigger additional review at public locations.

Load-in path

Map the route from the unloading point to the station: gate widths, grass and gravel runs, curbs, stairs, elevator access and total distance. Long or restricted paths on larger properties affect setup timing and should be flagged before the event date.

Guest queue and flow

Leave room for guests to line up without blocking the bar, walkways, restrooms or the dance floor. For larger counts, plan the approach from one side and the exit from the other so the line keeps moving.

Service window

The package includes two hours of live-chef service. Fix the start time against the run of show so the station is not opened during toasts or a program block, and confirm any change to that window in writing.

Venue approval

Some venues, clubhouses and HOA rooms restrict onsite cooking, equipment placement or vendor load-in hours. Get written confirmation that a live cooking station is permitted in the intended position before the layout is final.

Weather fallback

South Florida heat and afternoon storms are a planning input, not a surprise. Identify an indoor or covered alternate position for the station, and agree in advance who makes the call and by when.

Coordination

Share the floor plan, timeline and venue or Town contact early so the station position, power and service window are settled before the final proposal. Contact the team with whatever details you already have.

Questions

Before you reserve

What is included in the pasta station for a Davie event?

The published station includes a choice of three pasta varieties, three sauces and two proteins, plus fresh ingredients and finishing toppings, buffet setup and decoration, and two hours of live-chef service. Final pasta, sauce and protein selections are confirmed in your written proposal.

How much does a pasta station cost in Davie, FL?

The current published starting price is $19 per guest with a 25-guest minimum for the main station. Delivery, taxes, upgrades, availability and the final total are confirmed in the written proposal, and current pricing is shown on the product page.

Do I need a permit for a live cooking station in Davie?

It depends on the property, the scope of the event and the setup. The Town of Davie maintains a Special Event Permit process, and not every private gathering falls under it. Confirm your specific event, guest count and cooking setup directly with the Town rather than assuming either way, and start that conversation early because approval timelines are outside your control and outside ours. VNV Events does not apply for, obtain or guarantee permits or approvals.

Can the pasta station be set up at a Town of Davie park pavilion?

Town of Davie park pavilions and shelters can be reserved for private gatherings on a first come, first served basis, and the Town does not guarantee your date until payment is received, so a verbal hold should be treated as unconfirmed. Before you build a layout or timeline around a pavilion, ask the Town what that reservation allows in terms of outside caterers, cooking equipment, tables and power. VNV Events does not obtain or guarantee pavilion reservations.

What does the pasta station need on site?

Plan for a covered cooking and service area, a safe power source the venue has approved for catering equipment, a clear load-in path to the station position, room for a guest queue that does not block circulation, an agreed service window for the included two hours of live-chef service, and a weather fallback position. Exact venue requirements are confirmed in the written proposal.

Can vegetarian, vegan or allergy needs be accommodated for a Davie event?

Dietary directions should be raised while selections are being made. Vegetarian, vegan and allergy-related accommodations are reviewed case by case and confirmed in the written proposal along with the final pasta, sauce and protein choices.
