Questions
Before you reserve
What is included in the pasta station for a Hallandale Beach event?
The published station includes a choice of three pasta varieties, three sauces and two proteins, plus fresh ingredients and finishing toppings, buffet setup and decoration, and two hours of live-chef service. Final pasta, sauce and protein selections are confirmed in your written proposal.
How much does a pasta station cost in Hallandale Beach, FL?
The current published starting price is $19 per guest with a 25-guest minimum for the main station. Delivery, taxes, upgrades, product variations and the final total are confirmed in the written proposal, and current pricing is shown on the product page.
Do I need a permit for a live cooking station in Hallandale Beach?
It depends on the location and the setup. The City of Hallandale Beach requires a Temporary Use permit for outdoor special events that involve street closures or include components such as on-site commercial cooking, food sales, alcohol or large-scale temporary structures, and for indoor or promotional events that change the city-approved use of a facility. A live pasta station is on-site cooking, so it can be one of those components. Complete applications must be submitted not less than 45 days before the temporary use, or 60 days if City Commission approval is required. VNV Events does not apply for, obtain or guarantee permits; the host, venue, association or planner confirms current requirements with the City.
Can the pasta station be set up in a City of Hallandale Beach park or on City property?
Events on City property run on two separate tracks. The Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department processes Temporary Use of City Property special event permit applications, and applicants also submit a separate Special Event Reservation Request for the use of the property itself. Events on City property are required to provide proof of insurance naming the City as an additional insured, and reservations are handled on a first come, first served basis. Confirm both the reservation and the permit review with the City before locking in a guest count.
What does the station need on site?
Plan for a covered cooking and service area, a safe power source approved by the venue or building, a clear load-in path to the station position, room for a guest queue that does not block circulation, an agreed service window for the included two hours of live-chef service, written venue approval for on-site cooking, and a weather contingency. Exact venue requirements are confirmed in the written proposal rather than assumed on site.
How does a live pasta station work in a condo or clubhouse party room?
Building rules usually decide the layout before the menu does. Confirm with management whether on-site cooking is permitted in the room, which service elevator and loading entrance may be used, what the approved vendor hours are, where the station may stand relative to exits and walkways, and which power source may be used for catering equipment. Setups in enclosed spaces may also fall under the Fire Department's special event regulations. Share those answers early so the station position and service window are settled before the proposal is finalized.
Can vegetarian, vegan or allergy needs be accommodated?
Dietary directions should be raised while selections are being made. Vegetarian, vegan and allergy-related accommodations are reviewed case by case and confirmed in the written proposal along with the final pasta, sauce and protein choices.
