Questions
Before you reserve
What is included in the pasta station for a Hollywood event?
The published station includes a choice of three pasta varieties, three sauces and two proteins, plus fresh ingredients and finishing toppings, buffet setup and decoration, and two hours of live-chef service. Final pasta, sauce and protein selections are confirmed in your written proposal.
How much does a pasta station cost in Hollywood, FL?
The current published starting price is $19 per guest with a 25-guest minimum for the main station. Delivery, taxes, upgrades, product variations, availability and the final total are confirmed in the written proposal, and current pricing is shown on the product page.
Do I need a permit for a live cooking station in Hollywood?
It depends on the site and the event. The City of Hollywood Special Events Division coordinates permitting for events hosted by promoters and organizers on public or private property within the city limits, applications run through an ACTIVE Network account, and the reservation is made for the event type and site before the application moves forward. VNV Events does not apply for, obtain or guarantee permits or approvals; the host, venue or planner must confirm current requirements with the City of Hollywood.
Can the pasta station be set up at a Hollywood park, the ArtsPark or on Hollywood Beach?
City park pavilions are reserved through Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts and their terms differ by site, and the ArtsPark Amphitheater at Young Circle is available for rent and includes loading docks. Reserving a space and getting a permitted event with an onsite cooking vendor approved are separate steps on separate timelines. Hollywood Beach events and weddings are subject to an additional approval and permitting process through the Department of Environmental Protection, the beach is a turtle nesting habitat from March 1 to October 31, and beach wedding permits reserve a specific area, date, time and location with the applicant responsible for setting up and removing all equipment. Confirm both the reservation and the event approval with the City before finalizing the station plan.
What conditions apply to onsite food service at a permitted Hollywood event?
Permitted events with onsite food service are asked for a detailed plan covering environmentally proper disposal of grease and gray water, and organizers may also be asked for a food and beverage vendor list with contact information and items served, plus a trash and recycling plan covering the company, containers and sizes, event staffing and the disposal destination. Single-use plastics and nonbiodegradable polystyrene foam containers are banned on Hollywood Beach and at City-owned facilities, parks and permitted events, so serviceware should be decided during planning. Confirm current conditions with the City of Hollywood.
What does the station need on site?
Plan for a covered service and cooking area, a safe power source approved by the venue, a clear load-in path to the station position, room for a guest queue that does not block circulation, an agreed service window for the included two hours of live-chef service, written venue approval for onsite cooking, and a weather fallback position. Exact venue requirements are confirmed in the written proposal.
Can vegetarian, vegan or allergy needs be accommodated?
Dietary directions should be raised while selections are being made. Vegetarian, vegan and allergy-related accommodations are reviewed case by case and confirmed in the written proposal along with the final pasta, sauce and protein choices.
