Live pasta station catering for events in Jupiter, Florida

A pasta station is a live kitchen dropped into the middle of the party: guests pick their pasta, sauce and protein, and a chef finishes each plate in front of them. The published station starts at $19 per guest with a 25-guest minimum and includes three pasta varieties, three sauces, two proteins, buffet setup and decoration, and two hours of live-chef service.

The experience

A cooking station your guests stand around

Because every plate is built to order rather than pre-portioned, one station covers a room with very different appetites in it, from children to guests who want something lighter or vegetarian. This page covers the Jupiter side of the setup; the full service overview lives on the South Florida pasta station page.

Where it fits in Jupiter

  • Weddings, receptions, showers and milestone birthdays
  • Corporate socials and client appreciation events
  • Club and HOA clubhouse celebrations
  • Indoor or covered outdoor gatherings, including coastal sites where wind and shade decide the placement

Suitability depends on the venue, the power available at the station position and the approved setup area, all of which are reviewed before the proposal is finalized. If you are coordinating on behalf of a client or committee, the planner resources page covers how we work alongside outside planners.

Build the menu

Three choices shape the whole station

Selections are made conditionally against what is available for your date and confirmed in writing before the event.

Pasta selection

Choose three pasta varieties. Familiar shapes or filled pasta can be considered depending on the menu direction and what is available when you book.

Sauce selection

Choose three sauces and spread them out, typically one lighter and one creamier direction if those options are available for your date, so the station reads differently from one end to the other.

Proteins and dietary needs

Two protein selections are included. Vegetarian, vegan and allergy-related requirements should be raised during selection so they can be reviewed and confirmed in the proposal.

Jupiter planning

Who approves your event, and what they ask about cooking

Jupiter events split across two authorities: the Town of Jupiter and Palm Beach County. Which one reviews your event depends on the address and the site, and that answer usually decides your date before the menu does. A pasta station is a live cooking station, so it belongs in that conversation from the start. The map below is here for orientation only.

Service area focus: Jupiter, Florida, in Palm Beach County. This map identifies the city only. It is not a VNV Events office, storefront or service address, and it does not indicate a pickup location.

Town of Jupiter special permits

  • The Town handles special event permits, sign permits and vegetation removal permits through Planning and Zoning.
  • The Town's building department notes that tent permits are applied for through Planning and Zoning as a special events permit, which matters directly if the covered area over your pasta station is a tent.
  • Special permits sit in Article IV of the Town's zoning code, which sets the review path and the approval criteria the Town applies.
  • Start from the Town's planning and zoning fees, forms and applications page and confirm your specific event and site with the Town.

Jupiter Civic Center at Carlin Park

  • The Civic Center sits at the northeast end of Carlin Park and is rented through the Town, not the County.
  • The Town's rental FAQ states that renters are not permitted to bring in their own tables, chairs, portable air conditioning units, bounce houses or food trucks, so any outside catering equipment for the station has to be cleared with the Town before you plan a layout around it.
  • The Town's published rental rules also set an application window, a resident-applicant requirement and a rental-day access window that includes setup and cleanup, which is the window your load-in and two-hour service have to fit inside.
  • The Town has posted notices affecting this facility, including beach erosion and a scheduled closure for upgrades. Check the Civic Center page and the Town facility rentals page for current notices before you set a date.

County beaches, parks and pavilions

  • The Town does not issue special event permits for the beach. Those go through Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation.
  • All Jupiter beach pavilions other than the Carlin Park Civic Center are handled by the County.
  • County rules state that fires are not permitted on County beaches and parks, including the beaches in Jupiter, Carlin Park and the Civic Center. A live pasta station has to be discussed with the County on that basis rather than assumed, and the equipment and heat source described accurately when you ask.
  • County group pavilion rules require vendors and vendor activities to be identified on the permit, and the County's special events application describes liability insurance requirements that extend to caterers and vendors. Details are on the County pavilion rental page.

Clubs, clubhouses and gated communities

  • Not every Jupiter mailing address sits inside Town limits. The Town lists communities such as Jupiter Farms and Jonathan's Landing as unincorporated Palm Beach County, which changes who reviews the event.
  • Private clubs and HOA clubhouses set their own outside-caterer rules. Ask what vendor documentation, insurance certificate and approval steps they require, and how far in advance.
  • Ask for the load-in window, the gate or security notification process, and the kitchen or service area you are allowed to stage from.
  • Confirm whether an open cooking station is allowed in the specific room or terrace you have in mind before the floor plan is finalized.

VNV Events does not apply for, obtain or guarantee permits or venue approvals. Permitting and approvals are the responsibility of the host, the venue or your planner, and requirements change, so verify them for your specific date, address and event type with the Town of Jupiter, Palm Beach County or the venue as applicable. What we will give you are the setup details you need to answer their questions accurately.

Where a tent or temporary cover is part of the plan, review it early, since the Town treats tent permits as a special events permit application. See tent and event rental options.

Site logistics

What a live station needs on site

These are the details that decide whether the station runs smoothly, and they are also the questions the Town, the County or a club manager will ask you. Review them with your venue early, then confirm them in the written proposal.

Covered cooking and service area

The cooking and serving surface needs solid cover: a roof, a lanai, a covered terrace or a tent approved for the location. On Jupiter's coastal sites, shade and wind exposure usually decide the position before anything else does, and open turf with no cover is the most common reason a station gets moved on the day.

Safe, venue-approved power

Confirm with the venue what power exists at the station position and whether it may be used for catering equipment. The station's actual power requirements are stated in the proposal rather than assumed on site, and generators bring their own review at Town and County locations.

Load-in path

Map the route from the unloading point to the station: gate or security check-in, path widths, elevators, stairs, curbs, sand or grass runs and total distance. A long or restricted path affects setup timing and should be flagged well before the event date.

Guest queue and flow

Leave room for guests to line up without blocking the bar, walkways, restrooms or the dance floor. For larger counts, plan the approach from one side and the exit from the other so plates keep moving away from the chef.

Service window

The package includes two hours of live-chef service. Fix the start time against the run of show so the station does not open during toasts or a program block, and confirm any change to that window in writing.

Venue approval

Some venues, clubs and public facilities restrict onsite cooking, equipment placement or vendor load-in hours. Get written confirmation that a live cooking station is permitted in the intended position, and ask early where insurance certificates or vendor listings are required.

Weather fallback

Coastal heat, wind and afternoon storms are planning inputs, not surprises. Identify an indoor or covered alternate position for the station in advance, and agree who makes the call to move it and by what time.

Coordination

Share the floor plan, timeline and venue contact early so the station position, power and service window are settled before the final proposal. Contact the team with the details you already have.

Questions

Before you reserve

What is included in the pasta station for a Jupiter event?

The published station includes a choice of three pasta varieties, three sauces and two proteins, plus fresh ingredients and finishing toppings, buffet setup and decoration, and two hours of live-chef service. The final pasta, sauce and protein selections are confirmed in your written proposal.

How much does a pasta station cost in Jupiter, FL?

The current published starting price is $19 per guest with a 25-guest minimum for the main station. Delivery, taxes, upgrades, product variations and the final total are confirmed in the written proposal, and current pricing is shown on the product page.

Do I need a permit for a live cooking station in Jupiter?

It depends on the address and the site. The Town of Jupiter handles special event permits through Planning and Zoning, and the Town notes that tent permits are applied for through Planning and Zoning as a special events permit, which matters when the covered cooking area is a tent. Special permits sit in Article IV of the Town zoning code, which sets the review path and the approval criteria. Beach events are not permitted by the Town and go through Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation instead. VNV Events does not apply for, obtain or guarantee permits or venue approvals; the host, venue or planner is responsible for confirming current requirements.

Can the pasta station be set up at the Jupiter Civic Center or a County beach pavilion?

Both have to be cleared in advance. The Civic Center at Carlin Park is rented through the Town, and the Town rental FAQ states that renters are not permitted to bring in their own tables, chairs, portable air conditioning units, bounce houses or food trucks, so outside catering equipment must be cleared with the Town first. All Jupiter beach pavilions other than the Carlin Park Civic Center are handled by Palm Beach County, and County rules state that fires are not permitted on County beaches and parks, including the beaches in Jupiter, Carlin Park and the Civic Center, so a live cooking station has to be discussed with the County rather than assumed.

What does the station need on site?

Plan for a covered cooking and service area, a safe power source approved by the venue, a clear load-in path to the station position, room for a guest queue that does not block circulation, an agreed service window for the included two hours of live-chef service, and a weather contingency. Exact venue requirements are confirmed in the written proposal.

Can vegetarian, vegan or allergy needs be accommodated?

Dietary directions should be raised while selections are being made. Vegetarian, vegan and allergy-related accommodations are reviewed case by case and confirmed in the written proposal along with the final pasta, sauce and protein choices.
