Questions
Before you reserve
What is included in the pasta station for a Key Biscayne event?
The published station includes a choice of three pasta varieties, three sauces and two proteins, plus fresh ingredients and finishing toppings, buffet setup and decoration, and two hours of live-chef service. The final pasta, sauce and protein selections are confirmed in your written proposal.
How much does a pasta station cost in Key Biscayne, FL?
The current published starting price is $19 per guest with a 25-guest minimum for the main station. Delivery, taxes, upgrades, product variations and the final total are confirmed in the written proposal, and current pricing is shown on the product page.
Do I need a permit for a live cooking station in Key Biscayne?
It depends on where the event sits and how it is set up. The Village of Key Biscayne's published special event permit application, citing Village Code Chapter 17-5, states that a special event permit is required for events on public or private property, that it must be submitted not less than twenty days in advance and that the event must be approved by the Village Manager. The form asks whether vendors will be cooking or heating food and points to Fire Rescue requirements for cooking, tents, canopies and generators, and a site plan showing tents, staging and electricity and water locations is part of the submission. VNV Events does not apply for or guarantee permits; the host, venue or planner must confirm current requirements directly with the Village.
Can the pasta station be set up at Crandon Park?
Crandon Park is operated by Miami-Dade County, so it follows the County parks special events permit process rather than the Village process. The published Crandon Park picnic shelter rental agreement states that shelters have no electricity or running water, that personal generators are not permitted and that vendors must provide silent generators, and it prohibits propane, limits tents to ten by ten feet and requires vendors to be on the Miami-Dade Parks registered party vendor list. Shelter time also ends before sunset, with vendor items removed on that schedule. Those terms decide whether a live cooking station is workable there, so confirm current rules with the park before planning around them.
What does the station need on site?
Plan for a covered cooking and service area, a safe power source approved by the venue, building or park, a clear load-in path to the station position, room for a guest queue that does not block circulation, an agreed service window for the included two hours of live-chef service, and a weather contingency. Exact venue requirements are confirmed in the written proposal.
What should I confirm with my condominium or club first?
Ask whether onsite cooking is permitted in the intended position, what power may be used there, which service entrance, loading bay hours and elevator apply, and what vendor documentation the building requires. Written confirmation from management keeps the setup consistent with anything submitted to the Village, and the answers feed directly into the proposal.
Can vegetarian, vegan or allergy needs be accommodated?
Dietary directions should be raised while selections are being made. Vegetarian, vegan and allergy-related accommodations are reviewed case by case and confirmed in the written proposal along with the final pasta, sauce and protein choices.
