Live cooking has to sit under solid cover: a roof, a lanai, a covered terrace, a pavilion roof or a tent approved for the location. On a canal-front lawn with no cover, the station usually ends up being repositioned on the day, which costs service time.
Confirm with the venue or with Parks and Recreation what power exists at the intended station position and whether it may be used for catering equipment. The station's actual power requirements are stated in the proposal rather than assumed on site, and bringing a generator to City property is a separate conversation to have in advance.
Map the route from the unloading point to the station: gate widths, side-yard access, dock or seawall walkways, stairs, curbs, grass runs and total distance. Narrow residential driveways and shared parking at City facilities both affect setup timing and should be flagged before the date.
Leave room for guests to line up without blocking the bar, walkways, restrooms, a dock gate or the dance floor. Approach from one side and exit from the other so the line keeps moving, which matters most in smaller rooms and on narrower patios.
The package includes two hours of live-chef service. Fix the start time against the run of show so the station does not open during toasts or a program block, and confirm any change to that window in writing.
Some venues, clubs and HOA properties restrict onsite cooking, open flame, equipment placement or vendor load-in hours. Get written confirmation that a live cooking station is permitted in the position you intend to use.

The City's facility rental application asks whether outside vendors, businesses or groups will participate and asks the renter to list them with contact details. For those vendors, licenses and certificates of liability insurance naming the City of Lighthouse Point as an additional insured must be provided to the City at least two weeks before the event. VNV Events provides the vendor documentation a host or planner needs in order to submit it; submission and approval stay with the renter.
Plan for a covered cooking and service area, a safe power source approved by the venue, a clear load-in path to the station position, room for a guest queue that does not block circulation, an agreed service window for the included two hours of live-chef service, and a weather contingency.
