Questions
Before you reserve
What is included in the pasta station for a Margate event?
The published station includes a choice of three pasta varieties, three sauces and two proteins, plus fresh ingredients and finishing toppings, buffet setup and decoration, and two hours of live-chef service. The final pasta, sauce and protein selections are confirmed in your written proposal.
How much does a pasta station cost in Margate, FL?
The current published starting price is $19 per guest with a 25-guest minimum for the main station. Delivery, taxes, upgrades, product variations and the final total are confirmed in the written proposal, and current pricing is shown on the product page.
Do I need a permit for a live cooking station in Margate?
It depends on the location and the setup. The City of Margate reviews temporary outdoor uses, tents and temporary structures through a Temporary Use Permit issued under Section 3.24 of Appendix A of the City Code and administered by the Development Services Department. Cooking equipment in fixed, mobile or temporary concessions must carry fire suppression equipment, including extinguishers and hood suppression systems where applicable, maintained and serviced by a Florida State certified company. VNV Events does not apply for, obtain or guarantee permits; the host, venue or planner must confirm current requirements with the City of Margate.
Can the pasta station be set up under a tent in Margate?
Cooking under a canopy or tent requires flame-resistant material with a tag or label complying with NFPA 701, and mobile or temporary cooking is not permitted inside tents occupied by the public. Fire inspections are conducted before a special event opens, and each property is limited to four temporary use permits in a calendar year. Confirm the tent and cooking arrangement with the City of Margate and the venue before the layout is finalized.
Can the pasta station be set up at Royal Palm Park or another Margate City facility?
Margate Parks and Recreation handles athletic fields, outdoor pavilions and indoor facilities, with Calypso Cove reserved separately from other facilities. Royal Palm Park is home to Calypso Cove and includes rentable pavilions, covered playgrounds, an outside picnic area and a fishing dock, and the aquatic facility offers a party room rental. A pavilion reservation is not automatically permission for an outside caterer to cook on-site, so ask Parks and Recreation what your specific booking allows before setting a guest count.
What does the station need on site?
Plan for a covered cooking area, a safe power source approved by the venue, a clear load-in path to the station position, room for a guest queue that does not block circulation, an agreed service window for the included two hours of live-chef service, and a weather contingency. Exact venue requirements are confirmed in the written proposal.
Can vegetarian, vegan or allergy needs be accommodated?
Dietary directions should be raised while selections are being made. Vegetarian, vegan and allergy-related accommodations are reviewed case by case and confirmed in the written proposal along with the final pasta, sauce and protein choices.
