VNV Gourmet · Live Pasta Station · Miramar, FL

Live pasta station catering for events in Miramar, Florida

The plate is built while the guest watches, so one station handles a room with very different appetites. The published station starts at $19 per guest with a 25-guest minimum and includes three pasta varieties, three sauces, two proteins, fresh ingredients and finishing toppings, buffet setup and decoration, and two hours of live-chef service.

The station

A station guests watch, customize and remember

Because nothing is plated in advance, the same station serves the child who wants it plain, the guest avoiding meat and the guest who wants everything on it. This page covers the Miramar side of the setup, from facility rules to load-in; the full service overview lives on the South Florida pasta station page.

Where it fits in Miramar

  • Weddings, showers and milestone birthdays
  • Corporate socials, client appreciation and office celebrations
  • HOA clubhouse and community room gatherings
  • Rented city rooms, pavilions and shelters where the facility permits outside catering
  • Indoor events, and covered outdoor events where a chef can work under solid cover

Suitability depends on the specific space, the power available at the station position and the approved setup area, all of which are reviewed before the proposal is finalized. If you are coordinating for a client or a committee, the planner resources page covers how we work alongside outside planners.

Build the menu

Three choices shape the whole station

Selections are made conditionally against what is available for your date and confirmed in writing before the event.

Pasta selection

Choose three pasta varieties. Familiar shapes or filled pasta can be considered depending on the menu direction and what is available when you book.

Sauce selection

Choose three sauces and balance them so the station reads differently from one end to the other, typically one lighter and one creamier direction if those options are available for your date.

Proteins and dietary needs

Two protein selections are included. Vegetarian, vegan and allergy-related requirements should be raised during selection so they can be reviewed and confirmed in the proposal.

Miramar planning

Facility rules and the questions to settle first

In Miramar the answer usually comes from the specific space you book rather than from one blanket policy. Settling that early tends to decide your date, not your menu, because a live pasta station is cooked equipment placed in front of guests.

City of Miramar parks and facilities

  • The City offers indoor facilities, pavilions and shelters that can be rented for private and corporate gatherings.
  • Individual facility rules control capacity and organized activities, so the space you choose sets the limits rather than one citywide standard.
  • Vizcaya Park specifically requires a permit for organized activity.
  • Confirm current requirements for your date and your facility directly with the City.

City of Miramar park rentals information

Confirm with the facility before you commit

  • Ask whether outside caterers are permitted and what documentation the facility wants from a vendor.
  • Ask specifically about onsite cooking, since the pasta station is prepared live in front of guests rather than dropped off.
  • Ask whether your setup counts as organized activity under that facility's rules, and whether a permit applies.
  • Ask the same questions of an HOA clubhouse, hotel banquet room or private venue. Those rules are set by the property, not by us.

Bring the answers back before the station position and service window are locked into the proposal.

VNV Events does not apply for, obtain or guarantee permits or facility approvals. Permitting and venue approvals are the responsibility of the host, the venue or your planner. Requirements change, so verify them for your specific date, space and event type. We will give you the setup details you need to answer the City's or the facility's questions accurately.

If a tent or temporary cover is part of the plan for an outdoor position, review it early with the facility alongside any separate approval it may require. See tent and event rental options.

Site logistics

What a live station needs on site

These are the details that decide whether the station runs smoothly in a clubhouse, a banquet room or a covered patio. Review them with your venue early, then confirm them in the written proposal.

Covered cooking and service area

Cooking and plating need to sit under solid cover, whether that is an indoor room, a lanai, a covered terrace or a tent approved for the location. Open turf with no cover is the most common reason a station has to be repositioned on the day.

Safe, venue-approved power

Confirm with the venue or facility what power is available at the intended station position and whether it may be used for catering equipment. Actual power requirements are stated in the proposal rather than assumed on site, and generators may trigger additional review at city facilities.

Load-in path

Map the route from the unloading point to the station: gate widths, elevator access, stairs, curbs, grass runs and distance. Community rooms and clubhouses often have restricted vendor hours, so flag both the path and the window before the event date.

Guest queue and flow

Leave space for guests to line up without blocking bar access, walkways, restrooms or the dance floor. For larger counts, plan the approach from one side and the exit from the other so the line keeps moving.

Service timing

The package includes two hours of live-chef service. Fix the start time against the run of show so the station is not opened during toasts or a program block, and confirm any change to that window in writing.

Venue approval

Some venues and facilities restrict onsite cooking, equipment placement, outside caterers or vendor load-in hours. Get written confirmation that a live cooking station is permitted in the intended position.

Weather fallback

South Florida heat and afternoon storms are a planning input, not a surprise. Identify an indoor or covered alternate position for the station and agree in advance who makes the call and by when.

Coordination

Share the floor plan, timeline and venue contact early so the station position, power and service window are settled before the final proposal. Contact the team with the details you already have.

Questions

Before you reserve

What is included in the pasta station for a Miramar event?

The published station includes a choice of three pasta varieties, three sauces and two proteins, plus fresh ingredients and finishing toppings, buffet setup and decoration, and two hours of live-chef service. Final pasta, sauce and protein selections are confirmed in your written proposal.

How much does a pasta station cost in Miramar, FL?

The current published starting price is $19 per guest with a 25-guest minimum for the main station. Delivery, taxes, upgrades, availability and the final total are confirmed in the written proposal, and current pricing is shown on the product page.

Do I need a permit for a live cooking station in Miramar?

It depends on the space you book. In Miramar the answer usually comes from the individual facility rather than from one citywide standard, and Vizcaya Park specifically requires a permit for organized activity. VNV Events does not apply for, obtain or guarantee permits or facility approvals; the host, venue or planner must confirm current requirements directly with the City of Miramar or the property.

Can the pasta station be set up at a City of Miramar park or facility?

The City rents indoor facilities, pavilions and shelters for private and corporate gatherings, and individual facility rules control capacity and organized activities. Ask the City whether outside caterers and onsite cooking are permitted in the space you are reserving, and whether your setup counts as organized activity, before the station layout is finalized.

What does the station need on site?

Plan for a covered cooking and service area, a safe power source approved by the venue, a clear load-in path to the station position, room for a guest queue that does not block circulation, an agreed service window for the included two hours of live-chef service, venue approval for onsite cooking, and a weather contingency. Exact venue requirements are confirmed in the written proposal.

Can vegetarian, vegan or allergy needs be accommodated?

Dietary directions should be raised while selections are being made. Vegetarian, vegan and allergy-related accommodations are reviewed case by case and confirmed in the written proposal along with the final pasta, sauce and protein choices.
