Before you reserve
What is included in the pasta station for a South Miami event?
The published station includes a choice of three pasta varieties, three sauces and two proteins, plus fresh ingredients and finishing toppings, buffet setup and decoration, and two hours of live-chef service. Final pasta, sauce and protein selections, dietary accommodations and venue requirements are confirmed in your written proposal.
How much does a pasta station cost in South Miami, FL?
The current published starting price is $19 per guest with a 25-guest minimum for the main station. Delivery, taxes, upgrades, availability and the final total are confirmed in the written proposal, and current pricing is shown on the product page.
Do I need a permit for a live pasta station in South Miami?
It depends on the property and the event. The City of South Miami treats an event or activity that temporarily occurs on public or private property and affects the ordinary use of a park, public street, right-of-way or sidewalk as a special event. Applications for events on city property or requiring city services must be submitted at least 60 days before the event date, and applications submitted less than 30 days out are not accepted. Tents and other temporary structures may require separate building permits at the applicant's cost. VNV Events does not apply for, obtain or guarantee permits, so the host, venue or planner must confirm current requirements directly with the City.
Can the pasta station be set up at a South Miami park pavilion?
It can be considered, but the City's rental rules shape the plan. The application for facility use must be received at least 14 days before the event, and the City's rental application lists occupancy limits of 30 people per pavilion at Dante Fascell Park and 15 at Fuchs Park, so a 25-guest minimum already sits close to the Dante Fascell cap before the station and its queue are added. Pavilion rental availability is listed as 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., rentals generally run between sunrise and sunset with South Miami Park, Palmer Park and the Gibson-Bethel Community Center noted as exceptions, all equipment must be delivered and removed within the rental period because no storage is available, and setting equipment up in the park is one of the conditions the City reviews. Confirm your specific setup with Parks and Recreation.
What does the pasta station need on site?
Plan for a covered cooking and service area, a safe power source approved by the venue, a clear load-in path to the station position, room for a guest queue that does not block circulation, an agreed service window for the included two hours of live-chef service, and a weather contingency. Exact venue requirements are confirmed in the written proposal.
Can vegetarian, vegan or allergy needs be accommodated at the pasta station?
Raise dietary directions while selections are being made. Vegetarian, vegan and allergy-related accommodations are reviewed case by case and confirmed in the written proposal along with the final pasta, sauce and protein choices.
