Questions
Before you reserve
What is included in the pasta station for a West Palm Beach event?
The published station includes a choice of three pasta varieties, three sauces and two proteins, plus fresh ingredients and finishing toppings, buffet setup and decoration, and two hours of live-chef service. The final pasta, sauce and protein selections are confirmed in your written proposal.
How much does a pasta station cost in West Palm Beach, FL?
The current published starting price is $19 per guest with a 25-guest minimum for the main station. Delivery, taxes, upgrades, product variations, availability and the final total are confirmed in the written proposal, and current pricing is shown on the product page.
Do I need a permit for a live cooking station in West Palm Beach?
It depends on where the event is held. Special events on private property are reviewed and permitted by the City of West Palm Beach Development Services department, reachable at 561-805-6700 or ds@wpb.org, and the City asks for those applications four to six weeks ahead so there is time for plan review. Events on City or public property go through the Community Events division instead. Tents larger than 10x10, portable generators, stages, and signs or banners require separate building permits. VNV Events does not apply for, obtain or guarantee permits or approvals; the host, venue or planner is responsible for confirming current requirements with the City.
Can the pasta station be set up at a City of West Palm Beach park pavilion?
City pavilion rules state that no grills or propane are to be brought into the park area for use and that propane cooking is prohibited, which usually rules out an outdoor pavilion as the setup spot for a live cooking station. Tents and extra tables at a reserved pavilion are allowed only with advance approval from Parks and Recreation at (561) 804-4900, and pavilion capacities run up to 75 for large, 40 for medium and 20 for small. Indoor community-center rooms and halls are generally the more workable route; ask Parks and Recreation what cooking equipment the specific room allows before reserving it.
What does the station need on site in West Palm Beach?
Plan for a covered cooking and service area, a safe power source approved by the venue, a clear load-in path from the unloading point to the station position, room for a guest queue that does not block circulation, an agreed service window for the included two hours of live-chef service, written venue approval for onsite cooking, and a weather contingency. Exact venue requirements are confirmed in the written proposal.
Can vegetarian, vegan or allergy needs be accommodated?
Dietary directions should be raised while pasta, sauce and protein selections are being made. Vegetarian, vegan and allergy-related accommodations are reviewed case by case and confirmed in the written proposal along with the final selections.
