What the pasta station includes

One station covers a wide range of guests, from children to guests who want something lighter or vegetarian, because the combinations are built plate by plate rather than pre-set.

Where it works well in Weston

  • Corporate appreciation events and team dinners
  • Birthdays, anniversaries and family celebrations at home

Build the menu

Three choices shape the whole station

Selections are made conditionally against what is available for your date and confirmed in writing before the event.

Pasta selection

Choose three pasta varieties. Familiar shapes or filled pasta can be considered depending on the menu direction and what is available when you book.

Sauce selection

Choose three sauces and balance them so the station reads differently from one end to the other, typically one lighter and one creamier direction if those options are available for your date.

Proteins and dietary needs

Two protein selections are included. Vegetarian, vegan and allergy-related requirements should be raised during selection so they can be reviewed and confirmed in the proposal.

Weston planning

Permits, parks and what to confirm with the City

A pasta station is a live cooking station, so the venue and the City of Weston matter as much as the menu. Use the points below as a starting checklist and verify current requirements directly with the City.

Special-event permits

  • Weston special-event permits apply to organized events on public property, and to qualifying events that involve onsite cooking or mobile vendors.
  • For qualifying events on non-residential private property, applications must be made at least 30 days before the event date.
  • Tents or other temporary structures, and electrical use, may require separate building permits.

Park shelters

  • Reserved shelters at Weston Regional Park and Emerald Estates Park can accommodate food trucks.
  • Adding food trucks, tents, vendors or generators to a shelter reservation requires special-event review.
  • Confirm what your specific reservation permits before the station layout is finalized.

Weston shelter, room and field rentals

VNV Events does not apply for permits and does not guarantee permit approval or issuance. The host, venue or planner is responsible for confirming current requirements, timelines, fees and conditions directly with the City of Weston. Requirements change, so verify them for your specific date, location and event type.

Where a tent or temporary cover is part of the plan, review it early alongside any separate building permit requirements. See tent and event rental options.

Site logistics

What a live station needs on site

These are the details that decide whether the station runs smoothly. Review them with your venue early, then confirm them in the written proposal.

Covered cooking area

Live cooking needs to sit under solid cover, whether that is a roof, a lanai, a covered terrace or a tent approved for the location. Open turf with no cover is the most common reason a station has to be repositioned on the day.

Safe power source

Confirm with the venue what power is available at the station position and whether it may be used for catering equipment. Actual power requirements for the station are stated in the proposal rather than assumed on site, and generators may trigger additional review at public locations.

Load-in path

Map the route from the unloading point to the station: gate widths, elevator access, stairs, curbs, grass runs and distance. A long or restricted path affects setup timing and should be flagged before the event date.

Guest queue and flow

Leave space for guests to line up without blocking bar access, walkways, restrooms or the dance floor. For larger counts, plan the approach from one side and the exit from the other so the line keeps moving.

Service window

The package includes two hours of live-chef service. Fix the start time against the run of show so the station is not opened during toasts or a program block, and confirm any change to that window in writing.

Venue approval

Some venues restrict onsite cooking, open flame, equipment placement or vendor load-in hours. Get written confirmation from the venue that a live cooking station is permitted in the intended position.

Weather contingency

South Florida heat and afternoon storms are a planning input, not a surprise. Identify an indoor or covered alternate position for the station and agree in advance who makes the call and by when.

Coordination

Share the floor plan, timeline and venue contact early so the station position, power and service window are settled before the final proposal. Contact the team with the details you already have.

Do I need a permit for a live cooking station in Weston?

It depends on the location and the event. City of Weston special-event permits apply to organized events on public property and to qualifying events that involve onsite cooking or mobile vendors. Applications for qualifying events on non-residential private property must be made at least 30 days ahead, and tents, temporary structures or electrical use may require separate building permits. What does the station need on site?

Plan for a covered cooking area, a safe power source approved by the venue, a clear load-in path to the station position, room for a guest queue that does not block circulation, an agreed service window for the included two hours of live-chef service, and a weather contingency. Exact venue requirements are confirmed in the written proposal.
